Life, Lived Better – Outdoors
Happy Semiquincentennial!
What in the world is that you may ask? Well, this year, the United States turns 250 years old, and the preparations and celebrations are already getting started with the culmination on July 4th, the signing of the Declaration of Independence. America250 is the official event organizer whose goal is to engage all 350 million Americans in a historic commemoration, encouraging reflection on American history and ideals. Focusing on celebrating successes, contemplating consequences, honoring sacrifices, and committing to advancing democracy.
Similarly, as the New Year is upon us, I reflect on my past. The good and the not so good. The wins and the losses. And as I reflect, as our nation will do this year, I try to learn something. Particularly, learning how to be better.
There is always room for improvement. Mentally, spiritually, and physically. The growth and the striving for better is where the magic lie.
So, here’s to 2026. Let positivity and goodness reign supreme in all that we do. Let’s be less selfish and more giving. Let’s call out harms done and truly work to correct and learn from them. Respect. Faith. Love. Community.

(WBR) Wayne’s Book Review
Taking a break this month on the zany thoughts of Wayne and his, “Book of the Month”, but don’t fret, it’s not going away. There will be a new book to dissect for February’s newsletter.

“And now we welcome the new year. Full of things that have never been.”
